ANTALYA (TURKEY), April 6, 2014. The first AIPS Young Reporter Programme of 2014 starts today, April 6, in Antalya (Turkey) through the partnership with SportAccord, which is holding its 12th annual convention.
PARTICIPANTS The 'team' of Young Reporters, who will work in Turkey between April 6 and April 12, is composed of:
Zarif Rasul: A 25-year-old sports journalist from the United Kingdom. He works for the London-based agency Hayters Teamwork and previously took part in the AIPS YR Programme in Israel in 2013 for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
Petr Sedivy: A 26-year-old sports journalist from Czech Republic. He works for MF DNES / iDNES.cz, and was also part of the AIPS YR programme in Israel in 2013.
Maria Pia Beltran: A 25-year-old Argentine journalist coming from Argentina, confirmed part of the AIPS staff after the Young Reporters Programme in Tel Aviv (UEFA U21 Championship in 2013) and Lausanne (IOC Session, july 2013)
ACTIVITIES The young reporters will receive guidance from Mr Gianni Merlo, AIPS President, and Mrs Evelyn Watta, AIPS Secretary General ad interim. The busy schedule of events organised in the Susesi Convention Centre will provide the young journalists with the opportunity to meet the most important figures in the world of sports federations and business.
